Possible transition for sixth graders
Possible transition for sixth graders
Posted on 02/16/2017

The Puyallup School Board will be considering whether or not to move Sunrise sixth graders to Ferrucci Junior High next fall as part of a two-year plan to address continued enrollment growth in the district, prior to the September 2019 opening/expansion of several elementary schools as part of the voter-approved Bond Package.

The Board received enrollment projections and heard district recommendations for the possible move at their snow-delayed meeting scheduled on Tuesday, February 7 at the district offices (6:15 pm, 302 2nd Street SE, Puyallup, WA 98372).  The Board anticipates making a decision on the proposed move at the following School Board meeting at Edgemont Junior High School on Monday, February 27 (6:00 pm, EJHS Commons).

Additionally, below you will find a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document that the Ferrucci/Sunrise team has drafted.  More questions and answers will continue to be added to this list as we plan for transition events and activities for parents and students.
